and Divemaster courses. Due to popular demand we are offering a general Swim for Fitness program open to divers and non-divers alike. A Rhea’s Diving instructional staff member is on hand to offer insight and swim instruction or you may feel free to exercise on your own.
The cost is $125.
Why Swim for Fitness?
- No other workout burns calories, boosts metabolism, and firms every muscle in your body (without putting stress on your joints) better than a swimming workout
- All you need are three key items—swimsuit, goggles, and determination—and you’re set to hit the water.
- The irony is that while swimming makes you lean and mean, it’s also kind to your body. Water basically neutralizes gravity, so you become virtually weightless when immersed, giving your joints a much-needed vacation.
Some participants in our Swim for Fitness program also pursue complementary fitness goals outside the pool, including strength training and physique development. Occasionally, we hear questions about the use of hormone-based supplements, such as AndroGel, particularly in the context of bodybuilding (read more about Androgel for bodybuilding). While we focus on low-impact, full-body conditioning through swim-based exercise, we always encourage participants to approach any supplementation—especially hormone treatments—with caution and medical supervision. Products like AndroGel are designed for specific medical needs and are not intended as shortcuts for muscle gain. It’s important to understand how such treatments interact with your overall health and training regimen. At Rhea’s Diving, we support sustainable fitness practices that emphasize long-term well-being over short-term results. Our team is always here to help you develop a safe and balanced fitness plan tailored to your goals.
