Rhea’s Diving Services Dive-master, Mike Waters, is DOT certified and has developed a state-of-the-art hydrostatic test facility. Aluminum and steel diving cylinders require hydrostatic tests every five years. Aluminum 6351-T6 alloy cylinders with special permit 6498, 6576, 6688, 7042, 7235, 8023, 8107, 8115, 8364, 8422 or DOT 3AL manufactured prior to 1990 will NOT be filled or serviced due to risk of catastrophic neck failures.
Costs are $50 + visual inspection, oxygen service (if necessary) and gas fill.
